Family & Children's Place

Project Overview

Family & Children's Place was a project that involved the renovation of an existing building, with some new additions and a new building added to the rear of the property.

The existing building had a low slope roof over a gypsum roof deck. Our team removed the existing roof down to the gypsum deck. A mechanically fastened fiberglass base sheet was applied to the deck surface. New roof insulation set in low rise foam adhesive followed. Finally completed with a fully adhered 60 mil Thermoplastic (TPO) Roof system.

The new construction consisted of both a standing seam metal and a TPO Roof system over a tapered insulation system.

“We recently renovated an old building and built a new one next to it. American Roofing & Metal Company was our roofing contractor on the job. Our buildings have both a low slope single ply roof and a steep slope standing seam metal roof. Project Manager Joe Boyd and his crew were always courteous and promptly responded to our questions and concerns and were very helpful, both throughout the construction process and after.”  Jim Anderson, Facilities Coordinator
