Lexington’s Hot Summer Days

7-18-2014 | Rick O’Toole

Living in the Lexington area for my family and me the last several years has been great. This goes double for April thru October when the average temperature almost always is 10-15 degrees above Michigan where we are from, not to mention the snow covering everything for 5 months of the year. This allows us to do all of the great outdoor things that Lexington has to offer. We attend sporting events, go camping, boating, try to improve our golf game, or whatever we feel like doing without paying much attention to the Lexington weather forecast.

Then it happens, the wind starts to pick up, the temperature drops and all of a sudden it is 35 degrees and raining for what seems like an eternity. This is usually when we realize we did not do enough work around the house. So there we are trying to do the things that should or could have been done during the summer.

Being in the roofing business for 15 years now and now working as branch manager in Lexington for American Roofing and Metal Company I see this same sort of thing in many businesses and homes also. So do yourself, and us a favor and have us come out to do a full roof inspection so we can identify any roofing issues you may have and help you plan accordingly to get them taken care of before mother nature takes its toll.
