Copper

Style Points

Copper offers character and durability that can last for hundreds of years. No other metal roof can match its appearance and ability to compliment any style of home. From the traditional to the modern look, copper's warmth and beauty makes it a preferred material for many homeowners.

It Takes Craftsmanship to Get It Right

Working with copper takes a tremendous amount of experience and training to get it right. Shaping and soldering the material must be done carefully, and with an expert hand to ensure that it will stand the test of time.

Color Variations

Through its natural weathering process, the warm bronze tones can be expected to lead to the elegant green patina finish. There are also a number of methods available to slow down or accelerate the weathering process.

Common Problems of Copper Roofing

The most common problem with copper is a lack of experience when shaping and installing the product. Many residential copper roofs are put on with a lack of craftsmanship. As a result, problems start showing up two to five years after the roof has had time to expand and contract enough to start busting the weak solder joints apart. When crafting a copper roof, there is no rushing through it. Each joint has to be hand soldered and be given the proper cooling off time before moving on to the next joint. Our staff is certified and trained by the National Copper Institute, as well as trained by our family that has been doing this for more than a 100 years.
